hello new major

well this post really won't have much to do with school. seeing as school has just started and i don't care too much about it. i would much rather talk about my break. i was lucky enough to experience two "memories for a lifetime". . . . . experiences.

first of all, on new years eve, my brother and i set out to chicago with mike fish and kaila mielke in tow to go to an umphrey's mcgee concert. i've been a fan for awhile now but had only been to one concert beforehand, so wasn't sure what to expect seeing as this concert had quite a bit of hype to it. we basically knew that the opener started at 6:30 and we had a feeling the concert was going to play til atleast midnight.

well our expectations were met and exceeded. the opener keller williams came on and played from 6:30 to 8:00. umphrey's came on at 8:30 and played 3 sets and an encore. the third set started right before midnight and they played and did the countdown. they did a 4 song encore that went until 1:45 in the morning. basically we got treated to a 7 hour concert. not too shabby.

my next wonderful experience was an eastern caribbean cruise which stopped at nassau, bahamas; st. thomas, virgin islands; san juan, puerto rico; and labadee, haiti. there were many little interesting stories from that including me and nick singing stairway to heaven in the karoake competition and then making it to the final round where we sang love me two times with a live band. we also one night got to witness a sex romp in one of the hot tubs on the deck of the ship. when the two were finally shooed from the hot tub, they proceeded into a glass elevator where he performed cunnilingus on her. i just love the fact that that totally allows for the pun "goin down while goin down." the neatest thing we did was probly the B.O.B. and snorkeling in st. thomas. basically the B.O.B. (breathing observation bubble) was an underwater scooter with a big helmet thing that came up over your head so you would just climb in it and scoot around in the water. got to see lots of interesting things while doin that. all in all though, it was warm sun, cold drinks, and no worries. what a vacation should be in my opinion.

but this brings me to my recent plight. so most anyone who knows me would consider me a fair-skinned gent. i'm rather white and prone to sunburn. therefore i did as most and decided to do a little fake baking before we left. now we have been on two cruises before and i've pre-tanned before each, but things just had to be different this time i guess. i did the tanning same as i always did, naked. the ass burned a little bit, but the tender bits for whatever reason didn't suffer the same fate. or so i thought. . . . . .

there was no burning so there was no pain. but most know that tanned skin, if not properly cared for, will become dry and peel. it is also a very itchy situation. i'm guessing you're already laughing or gagging right now, but if you haven't understood the gist of this story, i will give you a simple equation. me + tanned penis = itching and peeling. i'm sure i could go the normal route which is to cure the skin with moisturizer. however, anything involving penises and cream is usually something that is frowned upon.

so for now i am left to suffer. i've learned my lesson though, and will now keep my boxers on should i ever need to use a tanning bed again. besides, who really cares if a penis is tan or not?
